My name is Nicole Kuhlman, and I am delighted to be a part of the outstanding faculty at Little Flower School in Springfield, Illinois. I have been teaching at Little Flower School since 2000. I have had the pleasure of teaching children in the sixth grade, third grade, and second grade at LFS. Before coming to Little Flower School, I taught at Saint Mary's School in Brussels, Illinois for two years.
I graduated from Quincy University in 1998 with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Elementary Education. I received my K-9 teaching certificate with a middle school endorsement in language arts from the State of Illinois. Just recently, I received my Masters of Education/Reading Specialist Degree from Benedictine University at Springfield College in Illinois. I am certified as a K-12 Reading Specialist. I am also a Highly Qualified teacher and received the LFS "Teacher of the Year" award in 2009. I am a proud member of the Illinois Reading Council and NCEA.
I am from Quincy, Illinois. My parents are currently living and working in Quincy and they are both counting down the days until retirement. I have two sisters and one brother. My brother, Chris, lives in the St. Louis area with his wife, Christina, in St. Charles, MO. They have a smart little boy named Carter. My sister, Lisa, lives here in Springfield and is a charge nurse in the NICU at St. John's Hospital. My youngest sister, Andrea, lives in Quincy with her husband. She is the proud mother to my sweet niece, Blakeleigh, and my funny nephew, Owen. My husband, Jeff, and I have been married for fifteen years.
